Pirate Adventure VBS
August 11-15, 2008

Our 2008 edition of VBS was held on August 11-15 from 6:30-8:45 each evening. Our Veggie Tale Pirate Adventure featured creative Bible stories, exciting craft projects, a nifty and science lab,fun games, and high-energy worship. Film clips from the Veggie Tales movie, “The Pirates Who Don’t Do Anything” helped to give a great learning experience for the children ages 2 through 5th grade that shared this experience. Our theme verse was for the week was Philippians 4:13, “I can do all things through Christ because he gives me strength.” Our theme song "Calling All Heroes" reminded us that God can make us all heroes through. We learned that true heroes always do the right thing and they always reach out to Jesus.

This is always an challenging event to put on, and we could not have done it without a motivated group of volunteers who worked tirelessly each night to give the children a fun learning experience. Many thanks to all made this event such a success. And see you next year!
